Can an MTB enduro strap or frame strap damage a bike frame?

Anything that comes into direct contact with a bike frame, that is ridden properly, in anger as it should be, in gritty and muddy conditions can potentially mark or cause wear on a bike frames finish. Especially gnarly riders who push the limits of the sport and their kit. That could be constant rubbing from the brake lines or gear cables. It could be from a frame strap or bag or even muddy shorts.

Many savvy bikers, when they get their new bike, wrap the frame with a clear vinyl to protect it. You could also add a clear protective tape in just the areas where things rub like underneath your enduro strap.

At Huck Bike we like to keep our spares and tools in good order by taking them off the bike before washing it. Expensive tools and spares also benefit from being cleaned off and dried to keep them in good order, they can be bloody expensive after all and an innertube left full of grit won't hold air for long.

The great thing about a Huck Enduro, XC or E-strap is that it can be chucked in the washing machine with your bike kit after a ride. This gets rid of any grit and keeps your Huck Strap looking new. Every Huck strap also comes with a 1Ltr drybag for when it gets really wet and muddy, keeping your essentials out of the elements.

Our Huck straps cinch up lovely and tight which minimises movement that can cause rubbing. Our unique curve shaped buckle, super tough webbing with box stitching in stress points, cinches up really tight and stays put.
